nzhealthcheck Command to identify Netezza Health Check

You can perform the Netezza health check by running nzhealthcheck command. The Netezza health check is a report on how well the system is performing.

nzhealthcheck Command to identify Netezza Health Check

To perform Netezza health check you have to login as an nz user and run command:

nzhealthcheck

You don’t have to pass any parameter to the above command.

The output of the command presents general system information in the section MINI SYSINFO and information about the issues found in the section Failures. You can easily identify the information about the issues found in the Netezza sections.

At the end of the report, you can find a path to the text file that contains the full version of the health check report. You should review this file every time you generate the report. Report contains two sections:

ISSUES: Identify the failed components and find guidance to resolve that issue.

WARNING: Identify the possible problems with rules evaluations.

Netezza Health Check Actions

Once you have report, you can check the potential problems and resolve issues.

  • Open the report to view problem
  • Try to resolve the problem as per advice
  • If the advice is to contact IBM support, send report to support team.
